Creators of the production are recalling the events of July 1946, the ones that landed Kielce in the world history. In times of the relentless anti-Semitic attitudes, a rumor about a Polish boy kidnapped by the Jewish community led to the tragedy. With the involvement of armed forces, a crowd brutally murdered 40 people. Discussions about the Kielce Pogrom, modern historical politics and collective responsibility of the Polish people for the crime still trigger very strong emotions. The tragedy had a colossal impact on the following generations. The author of the play Tomasz Śpiewak is a finalist of the Gdynia Dramaturge Award. The director Remigiusz Brzyk has been twice awarded the Konrad Award.
