The story follows Carl Sagan, a famous cosmologist and popularizer of knowledge about space. In the 1970s he received a commission form NASA. Together with his coworkers, he had to select materials for the Golden Records, that will be sent by the Voyager probes into space – materials that would be read by alien civilizations when they encounter earthly probes on the way. music: a collection of the greatest achievements of homo sapiens. The task seems scientific, but it turns out that the love relationships of the team members have a great influence on the deliberations. Will it be possible to make the best choices under such conditions?

Oh, wait, it’s not that beautiful. NASA doesn’t agree to attach the images of naked people to records…It’s scandalous! It is also ordered to remove all images of war and violence from the history of humanity…After all, aliens might perceive it as a threat! The phones are ringing off the hook, government officials are putting pressure on Sagan and convincing him what should be and should be not included in records. There are fierce battles even over songs – writes Mateusz Pakuła, director and the author of the script.
