An anniversary performance prepared on the occasion of the 145th anniversary of the Kielce drama scene.

A Few Stories from Iceland is not only a story about Poles and Icelanders. It is a story about performing and enacting national identities. What does it mean to be Polish? What does it mean to be Icelandic? And what does it mean to be a person of a given nationality anyway? Where does a fantasy end and symbolism begin?

The Play takes part in the 30. The National Competition for the Staging of Polish Contemporary Art.

The National Competition for the Staging of Polish Contemporary Art aims to reward the most interesting repertoire explorations in Polish theater, support Polish dramaturgy in its stage productions and popularize Polish contemporary drama. The competition is organized by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the Zbigniew Raszewski Teather in Warsaw.

In the first stage of the Competition, the performances are assessed by the Artistic Commission composed of: Jacek Sieradzki (chairman), Dominik Gac, Piotr Hildt, Anna Jazgarska, Szymon Kazimierczak, Andrzej Lis, Wanda Świątkowska.

The performance is created thanks to funding received from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under the EEA funds and funding from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage and the Marshal's Office of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship.
